Audio Visual and Staging For Jeff Conley Presentation
A well crafted and masterfully delivered speech can still fail if the AV
room set-up is poorly designed. The following set-up is for optimal results
based on decades of experience. If you must alter these guidelines, please
discuss your situation with us before your event. We are flexible and will
work with you to produce the best program possible for your group.
Audio Visual Set-Up
- Wireless, clip-on microphone
- A projection screen, computer projection system with wireless remote and
the cable connecting the system to a laptop with PowerPoint 2000 for
Jeff's projection graphics.
Staging
- If you're using a stage, please try to position the first row of
seats within three feet of the stage, if possible.
- If not, try using a 'T' shaped stage "runway" extending up to the first
row of the audience. This allows Jeff to personally connect with the
audience.
- If a podium is being used for introductions, set it back a few feet from
the front of the stage so that Jeff can walk in front of it.
Lighting
- Dim the screen area (unscrew ceiling bulbs right above the screen), but
leave full house lights on during the program. Jeff needs to see their
faces and they need to see his face and body language.
- Jeff moves around during his speech. If the room has spotlights, aim
them toward the very front center of the stage.
Recording
Audience members love taking great presentations home with them. We encourage
A/V taping. If you're interested in taping Jeff's presentation, please contact
us in advance to make those arrangements at (972) 242-4300. Our license fee
for making unlimited copies available to your people is $1500.
Temperature
A cool room produces an alert audience, a warm room produces a drowsy audience.
A cold room produces a distracted audience and a hot room produces an irritable
audience. The optimum room temperature should be 68 degrees Fahrenheit before
the audience and their collective body heat fill the room.
